What can we say about a man like Duncan? Once met never forgotten springs to mind. In a room full of strangers he would gather a crowd and have them talking and laughing together in no time, and prince or pauper they would all find Duncan the same way. He dealt with his illness as he dealt with life, said " Why not me? " .
As children, we can't comprehend of fully realize the meaning of our mother's love, how tender and how wise, the patience and forgiveness that are part of every day, the unexpected "little things" she does in her own way.

In loving memory of my amazing wife, Helen Parkes, who touched so many during her short life. Helen achieved more in her 40 years than many people do in a much longer lifetime. Incredibly strong, determined and intelligent, Helen had a zest for life most people can only aspire to. Helen always saw the best in everyone.
In memory of my dad - who I think of every day. He's missed by all of the family, but never forgotten.
Irene Forbes, mother, grandma, sister, aunt, and milly, much loved, much missed.

My Mum, A Daughter, Sister, Partner, Auntie, Mary-doll to her many friends :-) My mum is such an amazing person, I remember her every minute of every day, if its listening to one of her favourite songs on the radio or laughing at her dancing in my head or doing silly things which she always done, like cleaning obsessively around the house.
